Equine Bodywork Session
60 minute or 90 minute sessions available
Equine sports massage sessions consists of trigger point therapy, myofascial release, gua sha, and stretching. Choose between a 60 minute or 90 minute session.
Equine Sports Massage is a hands-on therapeutic method that is targeted to benefit the horse's muscular system, which in turn affects the circulatory system and the central nervous system. By using different strokes, static pressure, and nerve release techniques we are able to help break up tension and adhesions found in the muscles, tissues, and fascia. Through the use of massage we are also able to increase blood flow and circulation which is known to eliminate toxins and promote over all healing.

Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology Taping was invented by a doctor names Kenzo Kase in Japan in 1942. It was created to stimulate the body's regenerative and self-healing process by changing the way the skin and tissues underneath the skin move. The key to kinesiology taping is movement. The taping prevents the skin from moving in the way it normally would, creating displacement in the skin and tissues, breaking down agglutinations causing increased range of motion and circulation. Kinesiology taping is recommended to be paired with other therapies --- this is because kinesiology taping has been found to enhance the effects of other therapies (as long at the tape remains on the horse it provides benefits).
Benefits of Kinesiology Taping:
-
Increase circulation
-
Decompresses tissues
-
Reduces inflammation/swelling
-
Decreases muscle spasms
-
Alleviates discomfort and pain
-
Improves the healing process and recovery
-
Provides stability and support to tendons, ligaments, and joints without restricting range of motion
-
Improve nervous system function
-
Improve proprioception
-
Unwinds fascia restrictions
Cold Laser Therapy
Cold Laser Therapy is a form of phototherapy (light therapy) that affects the horse on a biochemical level. The low level light coming from the cold laser supplies energy to the body in the form of non-thermal photons of light. The light then penetrates the skin through wavelengths which optimize the immune response from the horses blood. It is proven that light introduced into the blood in this way has a positive effect on the entire body.
Benefits of Cold Laser Therapy:
-
Reduces pain
-
Reduces swelling and inflammation
-
Improves healing from tendon and ligament injuries
-
Improves wound healing
-
Helps with arthritic pain and inflammation
-
Helps joint problems
