Each session is tailored to meet your horse’s specific needs. For the best results, I prefer to work in a stall or quiet area where your horse can relax without distractions. Before the session, please have your horse groomed and ready, and ensure they have access to fresh water afterward. Light exercise beforehand may also be helpful so your horse is comfortable and prepared for bodywork.

  • Equine Massage

    60 or 90 minutes available
Massage is the foundation of my work at Montana Rose Equine Therapy. Through hands-on techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, gua sha, and stretching, I help release muscle tension, improve circulation, and restore mobility.

Massage supports the entire horse — easing discomfort, preventing injuries, and helping them move with greater balance and freedom. It benefits horses in recovery, performance athletes, and those needing regular maintenance.

    Benefits include:

    • Relieves muscle tension and soreness
    • Improves circulation and oxygen flow for faster recovery
    • Increases flexibility and range of motion
    • Supports long-term soundness and injury prevention
    • Reduces inflammation and promotes natural healing

    Pricing:

    • 60 minutes – $110
    • 90 minutes – $150

  • Indiba® Equus Therapy

Indiba® Equus is at the heart of my rehabilitation and recovery work. This advanced cellular therapy uses radio-frequency technology to safely stimulate the body’s natural healing processes at a deep level. By increasing microcirculation, improving oxygen delivery, and restoring cellular balance, Indiba reduces inflammation, relieves pain, and accelerates tissue repair.

For horses recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, or in need of faster recovery from training and competition, Indiba offers powerful, non-invasive support that complements hands-on bodywork.

    Benefits of Indiba® Equus Therapy:

    • Reduces inflammation and swelling
    • Relieves pain and muscle tension
    • Accelerates healing of tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues
    • Promotes tissue remodeling and repair
    • Enhances mobility and range of motion
    • Improves circulation and lymphatic drainage
    • Supports long-term soundness and performance longevity

Indiba can be used as a stand-alone therapy, but it is often most effective when combined with massage and other supportive modalities. Together, these therapies create a whole-body approach that addresses not just symptoms, but the underlying causes of discomfort.

  • Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology taping is a supportive therapy that gently assists your horse’s body between sessions. By lifting the skin and creating subtle changes in how the tissues move, taping encourages better circulation, reduces inflammation, and helps the body heal more effectively.

Because the tape stays in place for several days, the benefits continue even after the session is over. Taping is most effective when paired with other therapies like massage or Indiba® Equus, as it helps extend and reinforce the results.

    Benefits of Kinesiology Taping:

    • Improves circulation and lymphatic flow
    • Reduces inflammation and swelling
    • Provides stability and support without limiting range of motion
    • Decreases muscle spasms and discomfort
    • Supports healing of tendons, ligaments, and joints
    • Enhances proprioception and body awareness
    • Relieves fascia restrictions and encourages freer movement

    Pricing:

    • $65 per session

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOUR HORSE RECEIVE MASSAGE THERAPY?

Massage therapy is most effective when it’s consistent. Because more than half of a horse’s body weight is made up of muscle and fascia — the systems that make movement possible — regular bodywork is essential for maintaining balance, preventing stiffness, and supporting recovery.

One session can provide relief, but true healing often takes time. When a horse is dealing with pain or restrictions, it may take several sessions to gradually release tight tissues and restore healthy movement patterns. Think of it as peeling back layers — each session builds on the last, helping the body unwind, heal, and strengthen.

For horses in rehabilitation, sessions are often needed weekly at first to support healing and prevent setbacks. Performance horses may benefit from bi-weekly or monthly sessions to maintain flexibility and speed recovery between training. Even pleasure horses gain from routine massage to stay comfortable, balanced, and moving freely.

  • HOW SOON CAN YOU WORK YOUR HORSE AFTER A MASSAGE?

I recommend providing your horse with a minimum of a 24-hour recovery period following a massage session. On the day of the session, let them walk or participate in light work. Movement promotes circulation, which supports the healing process.

The following day, continue with lighter work before resuming their regular routine.
